Performance art?

  1. The idea this video raises is whether a political and/or social event can be in itself a performance art. I would say, yes. Performance art is very conceptual in ways that critique and focus on shaking certain established norms.

    It's interesting how performance art seems so much more accessible to most people. I mean, besides the fact that performance art occurs in public generally speaking. Performance art is just a means of communication that everyone winds up using at some point in their lives. I think even body language could be considered performance art.

Great work Nick. I love the camera's following nature. Your work kept me thinking "how did he do that?!". You really capture a cold feeling, and rather mechanical, to the piece. Probably experimenting with monitors would of served good as well which, as you know, Nauman used in the Public/ Private space installation. R.T
