Great work Nick. I love the camera's following nature. Your work kept me thinking "how did he do that?!". You really capture a cold feeling, and rather mechanical, to the piece. Probably experimenting with monitors would of served good as well which, as you know, Nauman used in the Public/ Private space installation. R.T

Great work Charles the video centers around her and has no real point to it which makes it take a narcissistic.

ReplyDeleteThis video is awkward but I chose it because she starts off talking to her friend and then randomly moves into a long stent of talking about useless information about herself. I believe that she staged most of it but it serves as an example of the narcissim of many videos on youtube. -Charles Finklea
ReplyDeleteI agree with everyone else, this truly is a good expression of narcissism. Although you can't blame her as she said it was a prompt from her friend and she came out and said this video was going to be like that. All in all though I did like it.

shes right though.... its all about the grape and cherry popsicles. I feel like i really am able to understand her personality, not just what she says but how she reacts to her self when she says things and how she edits.

I find the video extremely narcissistic and uncomfortable to watch. I think it might be the camera angle or how she seems to attack the camera with her personality as if she is seeking approval. Nice example.
