Great work Nick. I love the camera's following nature. Your work kept me thinking "how did he do that?!". You really capture a cold feeling, and rather mechanical, to the piece. Probably experimenting with monitors would of served good as well which, as you know, Nauman used in the Public/ Private space installation. R.T

Well, you told us about your idea, Nick, and it sounded awesome :) I'd really like to see it. Is your computer sitting on the steps outside Mulberry?
ReplyDeleteLoved the idea, Nick. Only critique is that it should be projected big on Swasey - also liked your idea of having multiple monitors as another way of showing it. It was too small scale - the strength of the work should have allowed it to take up more real estate.

Great idea nick. I thought it was fantastic how you used the central hub of the university as the backdrop to you space. Unique idea and beautiful execution. The only critique that I have is that I wish that it would have been neat to see the video projected on the building, oh and the sound. But overall it was fabulous.
ReplyDeleteThis was a really good idea Nick. I really liked how you picked Swasey to show the video too. I agree with Sheilah it would have been really cool if it was projected onto Swasey. Also the sound was a little bit of a problem. But I understand we only had so much to work with.
ReplyDeletecolleen, nice narration. Nick, I have to agree that i think this should have been projected and put on speakers so everyone coming in and out and walking by could see and hear. having said that i understand there were few projectors. Good Job.
