Hello All...

Please take some time to comment on your peers work from the projection event. Thanks to all who trekked around in the cold to see the work. It was a very exciting event to see the video moving from the 'white cube' into other environments!! Great work!

The images I took are quick snaps, but they should give you a visual reminder of the work that was associated with each person.

Have a great break!

The White Stripes - Dead Leaves And The Dirty Ground

Ross's installation reminded me of this music video directed by Michel Gondry. Let me know what you think.

Social Critique (Gabe)

Can this also count as my Photoshop work since I used that in my video?

World Of Color

I am a HUGE fan of everything Disney and an even bigger fans of amusement parks. So I usually keep tabs on whats happening at Walt Disney World in Florida and Disneyland in California. This summer at Disneyland at their sister park California Adventure they debuted "World of Color" a nighttime spectacular. Now I know most of what were looking at now has video projected onto structures, walls and figures. But this is pretty sweet too. They combine, video, water, laser lights and fireworks to make one hell of a nighttime event. Take a look.

Social Critique (Nick)

I don't know why it was saving some portions of the video oddly when exported to Quicktime. I shared this straight from FCP to YouTube and it's better, even though it snipped the ending a little short.

Example of Social Critique (Colleen)

Hey guys found this video artist when I was attempting to write a paper for another class. Max Almy does a lot of work about technology and its influence on people. This particular piece is a satire of political television and delves into the processes behind political image making and the marketing of a candidate. Thought it tied in well with the election today as well as reading.

Social Critique Examples (Nick)

Per usual, my frequent breaks from homework took me to YouTube. I love watching old Mad TV and SNL skits, and two that I watched recently could fit into our fifth assignment as critiques of society, though at the more lighthearted and tongue-in-cheek end:
