"listen to classical music" - I laughed out loud for that suggestion. Then I remembered that I actually do that. And have been known for doing several of those other, more extreme suggestions as well. Does that guarantee good final grades? Heck no. It's amazing, though, how all-encroaching school is on one's life. I think your video definitely points out the almost-trite advice we all know we're supposed to follow if we want to be "good" students, and how at a certain point it's just impossible to care any more. Good job.
Sam this was a really true and funny piece. I like how you played the big brother role and was coaching people how to make it through finals. You has some very insightful points that are true and I have used them before so I totally agree. The times when you panned the camera over to you play the snare, playing fooseball, drinking beer and playing cards was an interesting addition and it added some comedic effect to as well. Good work have a great break and Merry Christmas!
Great work Nick. I love the camera's following nature. Your work kept me thinking "how did he do that?!". You really capture a cold feeling, and rather mechanical, to the piece. Probably experimenting with monitors would of served good as well which, as you know, Nauman used in the Public/ Private space installation. R.T
